Old Hall Hotel is the first in Buxton to achieve EQM

We are delighted to announce that we have become the first hotel in Buxton to be accredited with the Peak District National Park Authority’s Environmental Quality Mark (EQM).

The EQM recognises the hotel’s commitment to the local economy and environment, and we have been commended for our sustainable efforts which include ensuring that we are able to offer our guests delicious food from locally sourced produce.

Our guests have also helped us to achieve the EQM, by becoming involved with our initiatives during their stay. This includes drinking our complimentary filtered water which is available to all and enjoying a nice cup of Fairtrade Organic Matthew Algie coffee, which we offer free to all guests who travel to the hotel via public transport.

We’re absolutely thrilled with this accreditation and wish to thank our customers for helping us to become one of the greenest hotels in the region.

Discounted admission at Peak District attractions

We have joined together with some of the Peak District’s best local attractions to offer our guests the best deal.  We now offer discounted ticket prices for

Chestnut Centre – Owl, Otter and wildlife park in Chapel-en-le-Frith.  Perfect day out for all the family.

Heights of Abraham - Since first opening its gates to visitors in 1780 the Heights of Abraham has become one of the Peak District’s most popular destinations. Originally the Heights of Abraham was only accessible to those few visitors who could scale the steep slopes of Masson Hill. In 1984 Britain’s first alpine style cable car transport system was installed. Rising from the valley floor, the observation cars transport you in comfort and safety and allow stunning views of the Derwent Valley and surrounding Peak District.

Chatsworth House - Explore the historic house, discover fascinating stories and enjoy one of Europe’s most significant art collections.  Discover 105 acres of garden with giant water features, sculpture, beautiful flowers and magnificent views of the park.
