Traditional afternoon tea
An English tradition, an afternoon delight
Afternoon tea is an English tradition, replicated in all the top British hotels. Reminiscent of old colonial days, it conjures up fine bone china, cucumber sandwiches and cream scones.
Afternoon tea at the Old Hall Hotel in Buxton ensures you will be made to feel special, enjoying a little bit of luxury for an hour or two with friends or family.
We offer a relaxed atmosphere here at the Old Hall Hotel – we don’t dictate a dress code and if you don’t care for cucumber sandwiches, we have an afternoon tea menu that will appeal to all tastes! That said, our most popular afternoon tea menu is still smoked salmon and cucumber sandwiches, scones with jam and clotted cream, sweet treats, and of course a pot of tea, and a glass of Fizz!
Afternoon Tea is served in the Cockerel Bar Monday to Thursday 2.00pm – 5.30pm
Mary’s afternoon tea is served in the Restaurant on Friday, Saturday and Sundays from 2.00pm – 4.00pm. Booking is essential for the Restaurant.
