Local beers, good wine
Passionate about good wine, local beer and real ale
Here at The Old Hall Hotel we’re passionate about our wine cellar and working with our Wine Merchant the Clear Black Wine Warehouse. This ensures that we can offer our guests quality and diversity, and Our wine list offers both traditional and modern wines from some of the top producers throughout the world. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do.
We are delighted to introduce three English wines to our collection, one sparkly, one white and one red, all from the Denbies wine estate in Surrey. Come and try it, we think you’ll like it!

Our current House Champagne is from the same Champagne House that the Queen herself chose for her Jubilee Celebrations so we’re in good company.
The Old Hall Hotel is proud to be able to showcase our guests real ales brewed in and around the local area in our bars and restaurant. In particular we take specialities from micro breweries Buxton Brewery and Thornbridge Brewery in Bakewell.
Buxton Brewery is widely recognised as one of just a small number of breweries who are producing world-class beers in casks, kegs and bottles that are full of flavour and character. We regularly serve Buxton Best, Buxton Bitter and Buxton Blonde. Thornbridge Brewery first started in 2005 and their beers have gained considerable success with over 200 industry and consumer awards. We regularly serve Moor Top, Lord Marples, Brother Rabbit and Wild Swan from Thornbridge. Lord Marples and Buxton Bitter are served on draft along with national brand Doombar.
The Old Hall Hotel is proud to be part of the Buxton Real Ale Trail. If you want to take part click here to find out more.
If wine or beer is not for you, maybe our cocktail list will tempt you! Experience The Old Hall’s take on a few classic and modern cocktails, and don’t forget to try our bar manager’s cocktail of the week!
