Dining at The Old Hall Hotel
The Old Hall set in the centre of Buxton opposite the Opera House and Pavilion Gardens gently blends with the warmth and well being of an ancient coaching hotel, yet there is a state of the art technology and modern efficiency, together with all those personal and caring ingredients which make it a special place. Private Functions:
The Old Hall has a number of function rooms perfect for a private function. Whether it be for a Special Anniversary, Birthday, Christening or just a chance for friends and family to meet up we can cater for your needs. Please find a selection of our menus below, these are purely a guide and your individual requirements can be discussed in further detail.
Cavendish Room:
The Cavendish room adjoins the relaxing lounge at the front of the hotel. The maximum number for one dining table is 20 people. Informal layout can hold up to 30 people for a buffet. Room Hire £75.00
Talbot Room:
The Talbot Room is the same size as the Cavendish Room, the Talbot room does not have an adjoining lounge. The maximum number for one dining table is 20 people. Informal layout can hold up to 30 people for a buffet. Room Hire £50.00
Shrewsbury Room:
This room overlooks the slopes through beautiful stained glass windows and is adjoined to the George Potter Bar. The Maximum number for one dining table is 30 people The Maximum number for informal layout is 50 people ~ sit down meal The maximum number for a buffet is 60 people, this is including the use of the George Potter Bar.

The Old Hall Hotel Restaurant:
The elegant restaurant is located at the front of the hotel with fantastic views of the exquisite Pavilion Gardens.
Room hire is negotiable for mid week (Sunday – Thursday) lunch or dinner. Minimum numbers do apply.
Friday and Saturday lunch – Room Hire £150.00
Friday and Saturday evening – Room Hire £200.00
Orchestra Pit:
If you are looking for something a little bit different which will add an extra quality to your occasion we can recommend the Orchestra Pit. Set amongst the historic arches and vaults of long ago. The Orchestra Pit has its own entrance, lobby, bar, seating area and dance floor. Viewing of this room is highly advised.

Bars and Lounges
When you have settled into your room or rested a while, why not wander down and enjoy an aperitif in the Theatre Bar, the rich surroundings of the George Potter Bar or a cup of our very finest coffee or tea in one of our lounges?
Wine Bar
You can enjoy a glass of wine or two or a tasty dish from our locally inspired menu in the Old Hall Wine Bar. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal - the cosmopolitan centre of the hotel where everyone meets. The Wine Bar is open all day for morning coffee, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner. Opening early and late for pre and post theatre dinners.

The Old Hall also offers the very best in traditional and contemporary A la Carte cuisine from around the world, amidst sumptuous surroundings and overlooking beautiful views. Fresh local produce combined with a wine cellar to match the demands of the most informed diners and wine connoisseurs. Also open early and late for pre and post theatre dinners.
