Walkers Welcome

Walkers Welcome

Having very proudly been awarded our Visit England Quality in Tourism Walker Welcome we are delighted to be able to offer walkers the confidence they need when booking quality accommodation that meets their particular needs. We can safely assure that there is a separate space for drying outdoor clothing and footwear overnight. Boot scrapers are at the main door. There is also always a first aid kit on hand for any unfortunate bump and bruises. On entering the hotel, there is a daily forecast on display to assist planning any trek, and maps available at reception. If you’re lucky, one the helpful member of staff can also advise on desirable local routes and hidden gems.
The surrounding area in the High Peak and the Peak District is rich with walks. The Peak District is reputed to be second only to Mount Fuji in terms of visitors. With impressive hills, moorland, woodland and beautiful views, the impressive and diverse landscape offers something for everyone’s walking preferences.
After a hard day walk, the warm and inviting atmosphere of the Old Hall is a delight, with a vast array of options available either in the A La Carte Restaurant, or the more relaxed Wine Bar.
