We are having a little pause
Further to the UK Government announcement on 17 December 2020 that Derbyshire will remain in Tier 3 of the Covid-19 UK restrictions, the team at the Old Hall will continue to keep the hotel closed on a temporary basis, until a further review takes place.
We will be contacting all guests who have booked a stay with us during this period of closure to reschedule their visit to a later date.
As we near the end of 2020, we would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported the Old Hall and we look ahead to 2021 with hope and optimism.
We greatly look forward to welcoming guests back home to the Old Hall and until then, we wish you all a happy and healthy festive season, look after yourselves until we can look after you again.

Our Heritage
Over the years, many of the Old Halls’s interesting and famous guests have said similar things about ‘the special feeling’ that the hotel gives them.
This is not at all surprising, as when uncovering the hotel’s long and rich history, an eminent archivist and historian concluded that the Old Hall Hotel in Buxton, could possibly be the oldest hotel in England.

Staying at Old Hall
