Exclusive Tram Tours

Tram

We are delighted to offer our guests a unique historical tour of Buxton aboard the Wonder of the Peak tram.

Your tour guide will meet you in the hotel, a place of hospitality for over a thousand years, to unlock some of the secrets of this famous place and then guests are invited to ride the tram to learn more about the fascinating inland resort of Buxton.

Every Saturday the tour lasts approximately an hour commencing 5.45pm and costs £10 per person.

The tram can only carry 8 people and demand is high so please express your interest at reception.

“I think I know Buxton as well as any tourist would, but almost all of what I heard was new to me, and I came away with a proper understanding of the history that’s shaped this unique and idiosyncratic town. It’s an utterly charming experience too.”
