The awards dinners at Thornbridge Hall were what dreams are made off! What a lovely venue and what a great evening.

The food was fantastic – catered for by Thornbridge Halls own outside caterers (thanks Les)! Mini Cottage Pie Canapes, Shoulder of Derbyshire Lamb followed by Max Fishers Pear and Almond Tart and a Cheese Board!

Unfortunately we didn’t win but its the taking part that counts….right??

Local Buxton Restaurant Nats Kitchen owner/chef Todd Carroll got highly commended in the Food Hero award so a big congratulations to him!

Looking forward to striving towards a win for next year!

Let’s get Local - New Wine Bar Menu

Our new locally inspired Wine Bar menu was launched on Friday with great reviews so far. Many of our regular customers have raved about our homemade chips, which are AMAZING!

By far the most popular dish is still our Battered Cod with homemade chips and mushy peas but a close runner up is the Local Butchers Sausage of the week with Mashed Potato and Onion Gravy.

Our Derbyshire Sirloin Steak is just fantastic and it is so refreshing to know that what is on your plate has been born, bred and grown up in the same area as us!

Our head chef Jes has sourced some great cheese for our cheese board including the Hartington Bomber – a crumbly white made in Staffordshire and the Bertelin Derby a 7 month matured Cheddar.

The passion for local food is ever popular and Jes and his team are passionate about serving the best quality food we can serve from the area.
