Christmas Market Night raises over £200 for Blythe House

Last night The Old Hall Hotel welcomed guests to its very first Christmas Market Night in aid of Blythe House Hospice.

Featuring various stalls from local traders selling fantastic gifts and produce, we were thrilled to see so many people turn out for spot of Christmas shopping with us.

The market, which was on from 6.30pm – 9.30pm, included a raffle to win some amazing prizes, including handmade candles, home accessories, beauty kits and much more. Well done to those who were lucky enough to win these fantastic goodies!

This year, we’ve enjoyed many events at The Old Hall Hotel; from mystery and suspense at our Murder Mystery Dinner, to glitz and glamour at our Fashion & Fizz nights. Next year, we’ll be hosting many more events and we’re looking forward to inviting you along too.

Movember at the Old Hall Hotel Buxton

During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces in the UK and around the world. The aim of which is to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men.

On Movember 1st 2011, 11 male employees of the Old Hall (known as Mo Bros) will have a clean-shaven face and then for the rest of the month, these selfless and generous men, groom, trim and wax their way into the annals of fine moustachery..

Mo Bros effectively become walking, talking billboards for the 30 days of November and through their actions and words raise awareness by prompting private and public conversation around the often ignored issue of men’s health.

Please call into the Old Hall Hotel to sample some of our fine moustaches and give generously to this worthy cause…

Comic Relief at the Old Hall Hotel Buxton- Friday 18th March

The Old Hall Hotel are supporting Comic Relief this year, by selling raffle tickets, for a chance to win a free meal for two in our lovely Wine Bar.

Staff will also be wearing items of red clothing on the day and have all agreed to donate their tips they make that day, for this worthy cause.On the subject of charitable giving, the hotel has also raised over £300 for Christies charity, so thank you to all those who have donated!!
