The 24th, 25th and 26th August brings Samuel Clemens as Sherlock Holmes, George Telfer as Dr Watson and Kim Taylforth as Mrs Hudson.

Victorian England is gripped by the grisly killings in Whitechapel, dubbed by the popular press as the work of ‘Jack the Ripper’. In the smoke ridden slums of East London another shriek is heard as the killer strikes yet again…

Sherlock Holmes and Dr John H Watson are called in to investigate but are soon drawn into a conspiracy that reaches to the highest level of the establishment. But for Holmes, there is a uniquely personal element to this new and terrifying case.

Set in the 1980s, The History Boys is the story of a group of bright, funny and unruly sixth formers in pursuit of sex, sport and a place at university. Staffroom rivalry and the anarchy of adolescence overflow, provoking insistent questions about history and how you teach it.
