Now on its fifth and final UK tour, the smash-hit show comes to Buxton featuring a cast of multi-talented performers. Set during the Second World War, Miss Nightingale – The Musical follows the struggles of a feisty northern singer Maggie and her refugee songwriter George. Both want to find their big break, but while she longs for the glitz and glamour of the stage, he holds a much darker secret…
In times of war, people will do anything to survive. A blossoming romance between George and a wealthy club promoter threatens to ruin everything in a time when being gay was not just illegal, but seen as dangerously unpatriotic.
Packed with hilarious, tongue-in-cheek cabaret numbers and beautifully tender ballads from award-winning theatre composer Matthew Bugg (Black Coffee, Some Like It Hotter), Miss Nightingale – The Musical brings the on-stage glamour and off-stage affairs of war-torn London thrillingly to life in a feel good show about love, loss and hope.
