The Old Hall set in the centre of Buxton opposite the Opera House and Pavilion Gardens gently blends with the warmth and well being of an ancient coaching hotel, yet there is a state of the art technology and modern efficiency, together with all those personal and caring ingredients which make it a special place. When you have settled into your room or rested a while, why not wander down and enjoy an aperitif in the Theatre Bar, the rich surroundings of the George Potter Bar or a cup of our very finest coffee or tea in one of our lounges?
Wine bar
You can enjoy a glass of wine or two or a tasty dish from our locally inspired menu in the Old Hall Wine Bar. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal - the cosmopolitan centre of the hotel where everyone meets. The Wine Bar is open all day for morning coffee, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner. Opening early and late for pre and post theatre dinners.

This menu is served Monday – Friday 12pm-2pm and then for dinner from 5.45pm- approximately 10pm.
Saturday and Sunday this menu is served from 12pm-10pm.
To avoid disappointment booking is advisable, call 01298 22841 to make your reservation.
Friday night is Fish n Fizz Night - 2 x Cod and Chips with Mushy Peas plus 2 glasses of sparkling wine. £22.00 for 2 in the Wine Bar - 7.30pm - 9.30pm

The Old Hall also offers the very best in traditional and contemporary A la Carte cuisine from around the world, amidst sumptuous surroundings and overlooking beautiful views. Fresh local produce combined with a wine cellar to match the demands of the most informed diners and wine connoisseurs. Also open early and late for pre and post theatre dinners.

Here at the Old Hall we are passionate about our wine working with our Wine Merchant the Clear Black Wine Warehouse, ensuring we give our guests quality and diversity, our wine list offers both traditional and modern wines from some of the top producers throughout the world. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do.
Our current House Champage is from the same Champagne House that the Queen herself has chosen for her Jubilee Celebrations.
